About
Welcome to Through the Forest Farm
Situated through a small forest in Clarksville, Maryland, Through the Forest Farm is a small, sustainable market garden dedicated to growing exceptional organic produce and cultivating a vibrant community.
Our journey began in 2023, when we moved to Howard County, driven by a dream to build a farm that nourishes both the land and the people who gather here.
Our Vision
Our 7-acre farm is more than just a place to grow food—it’s a space to connect. We believe in the power of food to bring people together, and we welcome you to:
Tour the farm, see how a variety of crops are grown and processed
Volunteer, get your hands in the soil, and experience farm life firsthand
Share in farm-to-table meals, good conversation, and a few laughs
In 2024, we launched our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and we are excited to continue growing it in 2025, expanding to 10+ members. Our focus is on producing exceptional fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, including but not limited to:
Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Lettuce, Garlic, Onions, Potatoes, Strawberries, Herbs, Cut Flowers, Peppers, and more!
Our Farming Practices
We are committed to sustainable and ecologically friendly farming methods. Our approach includes:
Minimal tillage & human-powered tools to preserve soil health
Intensive cover cropping & crop rotation for natural resilience
Mulching & organic fertilizers to nourish the land
Encouraging beneficial insects & biodiversity to create a thriving ecosystem
